It was a sunny winter day for the csns cross country. why is it today i wondered? but anyway we might as well get it over and done.
we tried to find our bus out side csns. it was so hard because all the classrooms had already hopped onto the bus. so one of the drivers had to call another bus.We had to wait outside for ten minutes. Once we got onto the bus I started to get butterflies in my tummy about my race.
Once we arrived at dransfields farm we got off the bus and we found the tarp we had to sit on.We had a lot of time before our race. We had about an hour till our race so All we had to do was just play around and cheer the other runners on.the first year 3 kids started to run. me and my friends were cheering them on.they were about to finish so we all went down to the finish line to cheer the year 3 girls.Time passed. as All the racers were running I had just found out that years 3-4 had to run 1.5 km and the year 5-6 had to just over 3km.
It was time to race all the year 6 boys had to line up in front of Mr williaMs we walked over to the start line and we started to line up.But before we had to line up we did some stretches and some little hog's on the spot so our mucsle Les can get loss for the race.Once we had done all that we stared to line up.Mr Bell had a Cap gun and he told us when I say 1 2 3 and then he blows his gun I stared to get butterflies in my tummy my tummy was aching from all the excitement 1 2 3 pop the race stared
We had to run up a big hill to starred up we had 2 big boys high boys at the front and the back after the hill the was a long straight path.the we got to a little creek that we had to jump or go through then was I another up hill I hated! the uphill paths they were the hardest part of the course. then lucky there was a straight down hill. then came to a muddy puddle were Mr Healey was standing I tried to jump to the cone so I could miss the mud but I fell in. then came a long gravel road all the teachers were saying just a little bit to go but I thought they were lying because it seemed like it was 10 km left.It got to a point that we were near the hay bails so that meant we hat to jump over them. After that there was a straight down hill where you couldn't even stop your legs.luckley I spotted the finsh line from a distance so I really got excited.every one started to cheer me on i felt so good I even heard Miss g yelling com on Ashwin.
After the race everyone got a sticker note to put in your house color box I got the number 39 so that meant I came 12th place. I took my top of after the race because I was so hot after the race and my friend Carter took a photo as well.Mrs Langley also told me off for not wearing a t shirt. after it was all over we took the bus back to csns and we had lunch.
This year also there was a cross country house trophies which is after everyone gets a POSt it note and you have to put it in your house color box. This year weAKa won the trophies because they had the most points. this was my last cross country for csns so I hope every one that does it next haves fun and good luck hop full year takahue can win next year.
Thank you Mr and mrs Dransfield for lending us your farm for csns cross country and Thank you mrs tremaine and mrs Langley for organizing the csns cross country
